A Poem for Jesus

Published on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 By recoverystories
Please don’t return to earth just yet.

Hold off the Rapture a little longer, I beg.

Long enough for me to complete the things I need to do;

Feed the hungry; spend time with friends,

Maybe even win a soul or two.

Oh, and then there’s my dreams of marriage,

college and a family

The thought of you coming back to separate

The sheep and the goats,

Well, it’s all so scary.

I know I shouldn’t ask this,

but please tell me why

It always has to be me afraid of the skies.
